Empowering Network of Secondary and Tertiary Level Facilities to Effectively Respond to COVID-19 and Other Respiratory Emergencies through Sustainable, Self-reliant and Resilient Health Systems.
Reaching Impact, Saturation, and Epidemic Control (RISE) is a global project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by Jhpiego, a nonprofit global health leader and Johns Hopkins University affiliate. RISE works with countries to achieve a shared vision of attaining and maintaining epidemic control, with stronger local partners capable of managing and achieving results through sustainable, self-reliant, and resilient health systems.
To respond to the urgency, acuity and magnitude of the COVID-19 in India, RISE is supporting 28 states in building a resilient and responsive health system, by improving vaccine coverage, strengthening oxygen ecosystem, enhancing COVID-19 laboratory capacity, bolstering health system capacity for the management of COVID-19 patients and healthcare workforce resilience and strengthening biomedical waste (BMW) management at tertiary and secondary COVID-19 health facilities within the RISE network.
