Establishment of ENARS Model
Emergency Nursing Academic and Research Section
ENARS is an innovative initiative to integrate, academics and research to provide quality emergency care by Depbrtment of Emergency, JPNATC AllMS in May 2016. ENARS was conceptualised to empower nurses with various new skills, give autonomy and to motivate nurses
for evidence-based practice and research.
Mission: To deliver quality emergency care services through comprehensive nursing education and research.
Activities under ENARS Division:
➤ Regular in-service programs for the nurses (regular academic classes, Skill practices, Hands
on sessions)

➤ Improving Patient Safety and Quality team: There is a team of nurses to periodic meetings, Case Audits, data presentations to promote quality improvement initiatives in ED. Many Quality Improvement programs have been presented and awarded at various platform at states and national level.
- Emergency System and Process Improvement- Emergency Manual, protocols (regular updating) and clear job descriptions
- Quality Documentation system
- Appreciation, Motivation and get together of ED Nurses & other staff

- Patient Simulation and Drills
- Table top drills
- Disaster and Mass Casualty Preparedness & Management

Advance Nursing care
➤ Making a difference by bringing practice of Ultrasound Guided Nerve Block and Nurse-driven pain-free ED.

Result:
• WHO CCET Promulgating this ENARS model in many states such as Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh etc
• ENARS actively contributed in many researches, Quality Improvement projects and now academic nurse doing her thesis under ENARS
